Welcome to Barrie Central Collegiate!

Prospective students are always welcome to visit the school to learn more about our academic and extra curricular programs at Barrie Central. Please contact our Student Services to schedule an appointment.

You may wish to download the registration form before you visit our school.

What documents do I need to bring with me?

Birthdate Documentation: Proof of birthdate (original Canadian birth certificate, Certificate of Canadian Citizenship, Canadian Passport, Permanent Resident Card/Record of Landing, or Statement of Live Birth – long version, First Nations Status Card).

Residential Address: Proof of your child's address.
Below is a list of appropriate pieces of documentation that a parent/guardian may present to verify address:

  • Local Property Tax Assessment
  • Residential Lease, Residential Mortgage Statement or Agreement

Below are supporting documents that can be used to supplement the use of the documents above in determining the proof of your address:

  • Canada Child Tax Benefit Statement
  • Bank Statement
  • Utility Bill
  • Credit Card Statement

Record of Immunization: A record of immunization is also requested to assist the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit in meeting its requirement under the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA) to collect and maintain immunization records for every child registered in school. For further immunization details, contact your district health unit at 1-877-721-7520.

New to Canada?

If you have recently arrived in Canada and this is the first elementary or secondary school your child will be attending in Canada, please contact the SCDSB's Newcomer Welcome Centre at 705-725-8360 x45160 to arrange a registration appointment. The Newcomer Welcome Centre is located in Barrie at the Bayfield Mall, 320 Bayfield Street.
